Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes walkthrough: How to complete Windward (Part 1) quest

The Windward (Part 1) in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC is a new quest that tasks you with searching for the Wind Traders in the Boundless Range area. You automatically obtain this mission after overhearing some Na'vi inside the Hometree when progressing through the Alone quest.

Talk to the Wind Traders

To begin the Windward (Part 1) quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC, first fly to the quest location on your Ikran. Once you arrive there, interact with the NPC named Efra, who will explain that their Gondola is stuck and another NPC is leading the efforts to free it.

Afterward, follow the quest marker to the other group of NPCs and interact with them.

Destroy vines trapping Rimo'a

The next part of the quest requires you to lend your assistance to the Wind Traders to help them stabilize their Gondola. The first task for doing so requires you to hop on your Ikran and use its Ikran Smash ability to destroy the various dead vines trapping the Rimo'a. Afterward, return to the Gondola and engage in a dialogue sequence with the NPCs again.

Retrieve the scattered tools

The second task for stabilizing the Gondola involves looking for four scattered tools and retrieving them. Just use your Ikran to fly towards the four quest markers and simply pass by them to automatically collect the items.

Once you have gathered all four tools, return to Kukulope to hand them over so she can finish stabilizing the Gondola in the Windward (Part 1) quest of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes DLC.

Then simply interact with Kukulope again to begin searching for survivors of the Gondola crash.

Search for more Wind Trader survivors

Fly with Kukulope on Ikran toward the Gondola crash site. Once you're there, begin your search for any Wind Traders that may have survived the accident. Just follow the quest marker until you reach an NPC named Leykuni surrounded by RDA enemies. Simply defeat the foes in battle to progress ahead.

Save Ulinay from the cave

Upon his rescue, Leykuni will inform you and Kukulope that Ulinay is alive but hurt inside the cave. However, since the entry to the cave is blocked, you must find an alternate way.

Just climb up the cliff above the cave and look for a small opening that leads you inside. Jump down, and you find Ulinay here. Interact with the NPC to complete this part of the mission.

Defeat RDA forces outside the save

After the cutscene with Ulinay ends, Kukulope will inform you that more RDA reinforcements have arrived, along with a Mangkwan raider, outside the cave. At this point, you must engage in battle with them and beat them all to proceed forward.

Following that, return to Ulinay along with Kukulope. A cutscene will trigger here in which Ulinay will pass away, marking the end of the Windward (Part 1) quest in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From The Ashes.
