The Houston Astros won't have Isaac Paredes with them this weekend.
The Astros are playing in Sacramento against the A's, but they'll be doing it without their powerful slugger.
Paredes is off to a slow start to the season. He's 5-for-22 (.227 batting average) without a home run so far. He has scored four runs and driven in five.
He'll be out of the lineup for between three and seven days now.

Who is replacing Isaac Paredes?
The Astros have recalled Shay Whitcomb to take Paredes' place on the active roster.
It's not clear whether Whitcomb will get starts or not in Paredes' absence, but he's a versatile player who can fill-in in a lot of spots if needed.
