Arsenal are gearing up for a big summer transfer window. It will be a make-or-break season for manager Mikel Arteta as the Gunners endured another season without winning any silverware.
As things stand, the Gunners may finish second in the Premier League standings for the third successive season. They started the league campaign with a lot of promise, but lost their way as the season progressed.
Arsenal desperately need attacking reinforcements as they have scored 17 fewer goals than the champions, Liverpool. With injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, the North Londoners struggled to score goals on a consistent basis in the second half of the season.
Therefore, as per reports, Arsenal are monitoring several players in attack, including Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, Napoli's Victor Osimhen, and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
They are yet to zero in on a particular target, but as per The Athletic's David Ornstein, Gyokeres remains one of the top targets as sporting director Andrea Berta is extremely impressed with the Swedish international.
Apart from Arsenal, Ruben Amorim's Manchester United are also interested in the Sporting striker. Both clubs are pushing to secure his signature this summer.

Gyokeres could be a value-for-money player for Arsenal
Among all the strikers present in Arsenal's wishlist, Gyokeres might be the best option in terms of value.
The 26-year-old has a release clause of £84.1m (€100m) but the Portuguese outfit are ready to sell him if they received an offer in the region of £67.3m (€80m).

As per reports on Daily Mail, Sporting are willing to sell their star striker this summer, but for that, they need Arsenal to offer £60m for the Swede. The Portuguese outfit are desperately looking to do business early on in the summer, giving them enough time to secure his replacement.
The aforementioned fee looks pretty viable, especially considering his red-hot form in front of goal, something that Arsenal have lacked this season. Gyokeres has netted 95 goals in 100 matches for Sporting, and there his transfer fee and high wage demands remain justified.
RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is another striker high up on Arsenal's shortlist. The Slovenian has a £67.3m (€80m) release clause. So it will be a toss up between the two players for the Gunners as both may demand wages in the region of £200,000 per week.
