Arizona Cardinals schedule 2025: Dates & times for all 17 games, strength of schedule and predictions

2 hours ago 1

The Cardinals are entering an interesting time period. This will be the third year of the Jonathan Gannon era, as well as the third year of the five-year extension given to quarterback Kyler Murray.

Arizona couldn't completely take advantage of down years from their NFC West rivals in 2024. The Rams won the division at 10-7, narrowly beating out the Seahawks. The biggest surprise was the 49ers finishing in last place in the division with just six wins, but Arizona still couldn't crack .500, finishing with an 8-9 record.

Arizona made a splash in the offseason by signing outside linebacker Josh Sweat to be the foundation of the defense. The Cardinals used their first five draft picks to add defensive pieces and depth, too. Given the distribution of resources, Arizona is clearly confident in its offense anchored by Murray, James Conner, and Marvin Harrison Jr.

It feels like the Cardinals are close to being able to post their second winning season since 2015, and a relatively soft schedule should help.

Here is a complete breakdown of the Cardinals' 2025 schedule, including dates, start times, and analysis for all 17 games.

Cardinals strength of schedule

Heading into the 2024 season, Arizona's opponents had a .488 winning percentage in 2023. This ranked tied for the eighth-easiest strength of schedule. The Cardinals responded by going 8-9 during the 2024 regular season and missing out on the playoffs.

Going into the 2025 season, Arizona is tied for the fifth-easiest strength of schedule. The Cardinals' opponents this year had a combined winning percentage of .457. Arizona has the second-easiest strength of the schedule in the division, only losing out to San Francisco, who has the easiest in the league.

Toughest tests: The games within the division are not going to be cakewalks. Los Angeles is largely bringing back the same team, only with an upgrade from Cooper Kupp to Davante Adams. Seattle signed free agent QB Sam Darnold to a big offseason deal and brought in Kupp, while San Francisco is expected to bounce back in a major way after battling rampant injuries in 2024.

Outside of the division, games against the Packers, Texans, Buccaneers, Bengals, and Cowboys are sure to test the Cardinals, especially with all but the Packers on the road.

Biggest breaks: Teams that are considered rebuilders always hope that they are further along than other teams going through the same process. The Cardinals should have favorable matchups against the Panthers, Jaguars, Titans, Colts, and Saints this season, and all but the Saints are at home.

Cardinals record prediction

  • Over/under win total: 8.5 (per BetMGM)

Bottom line: Arizona feels like it is in for a solid season. The Cardinals have good pieces on both sides of the ball, and it should look like a more competitive football team this year. Arizona certainly has a chance to win the NFC West and, at the very least, shouldn't be assumed to finish last as it has in recent seasons.

The question becomes whether they are just going to win the games they should, or can they finally knock off some better opponents and pick up those extra wins that help them sneak into the playoffs.

It feels like Arizona is really close to a bigger breakthrough, but it might not happen this year.

Record prediction: 9-8
