Former WWE head writer Vince Russo questioned Triple H for not bringing two veterans back to the company. Russo argued that the two former WWE stars should be regulars on the current product.
Russo has been one of Triple H's biggest critics, though he always wants what's best for the company. On a recent episode of the WWE RAW & SmackDown Review show on The Brand, Russo brought up Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona to co-hosts Stevie Richards and Bin Hamin.
The wrestling veteran was baffled as to why Nemeth and Cardona are not signed to WWE. He recently saw them on an independent show and was blown away by how good and professional they were.
"I'm sitting back watching these two guys perform, and I'm like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Like these are topnotch pro’s pros, still at the top of their game, still in peak freaking condition. They still have the crowd. They've never lost a step. They're selling. They're doing their thing. They're entertaining. And then I look at who's on Raw and who's on Smackdown, and I'm like, ‘Are you are you guys joking?’ Are you joking that these two guys are not on your show, but you literally bring up these NXT kids that are freaking amateurish?'" Russo said.Nic Nemeth and Matt Cardona returned to WWE last month as Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder, respectively, to participate in The Last Time Is Now Tournament.
Triple H and The Rock at odds, claims Vince Russo
Speaking to -7 Sports earlier this month, Vince Russo discussed The Rock's absence from WWE programming. Russo believes that there is heat between The Final Boss and Triple H, which has led Rocky to lay low away from the company.
"The only thing I see is I am convinced by looking at the landscape and what’s been going on for especially the last year and what not. I believe there is heat between Triple H and The Rock. I believe there are camps. I believe there are sides. I believe The Rock is laying low in the weeds," Russo said. [H/T: TJRWrestling]The Rock hasn't appeared since helping John Cena turn heel at Elimination Chamber: Toronto. He wasn't at WrestleMania 41 and was absent from Cena's retirement match on December 13.
