For their impressive season outing, the European Ryder Cup team was named Team of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. Europe Ryder Cup won the biennial tournament back in September, and Hatton opened up about it in the post-round press conference back then. He said (via ASAP Sports).
"It was just the most stressful day. The last six, seven holes were just horrible. I mean, I missed a fair few putts. I feel like I hit good putts. I just didn't read the greens very well today. I'm sure it's frustrating a lot of people back home but I tried my best. And that putt to win the match on the last, I knew it had two putts for us to secure to win the Ryder Cup."Hatton made his debut at the Ryder Cup back in 2018 and then played in 2021, 2023, and 2025. He plays on the LIV Golf circuit and is currently enjoying time away from the field. He also competed in majors and DP World Tour events this season and won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
He was also the runner-up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Some of his notable finishes in LIV Golf are T6 in Riyadh, T5 in Mexico City, and T5 in Dallas. .
