Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly accused her co-star David Harbour of bullying and harassment during the filming of the show’s highly anticipated fifth and final season. According to a report by RadarOnline.com, the 21-year-old actor filed a formal complaint against Harbour with Netflix, triggering an internal investigation.

Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things has played a pivotal role in transforming Netflix from a streaming underdog into one of Hollywood’s most influential studios. It also turned Millie Bobby Brown from a little-known teen actor into a global star reportedly worth $50 million (£38 million).
However, according to a Daily Mail report dated November 1, 2025, after Brown had allegedly lodged a formal complaint against David Harbour regarding his behavior, she reportedly had a personal representative present with her throughout the filming of the show’s final season.
Additionally, the fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit series was being released in two parts. The first half was set to premiere later in the month, followed by the second part over Christmas. The much-anticipated finale was expected to debut simultaneously in cinemas and on Netflix on December 31.
Netflix had reportedly been counting on Stranger Things 5 to become one of its biggest global streaming events.
A Netflix insider commented that the allegations and ensuing publicity surrounding David Harbour had overshadowed the show’s celebratory final chapter.
“It’s unfortunate that Mr. Harbour’s personal woes have hit the headlines at a time when Stranger Things fans were looking forward to a global celebration to mark the end of the groundbreaking show,” a Netflix source said.Another source close to the production highlighted the weight of Netflix’s silence regarding Millie Bobby Brown's allegations, suggesting it spoke volumes.
“Netflix will never comment on an internal investigation, but the fact they’ve not denied it speaks volumes. Stranger Things helped put Netflix on the map. No one wants anything to take attention away from that.”David Harbour and Lily Allen’s relationship comes under renewed scrutiny amid allegations

David Harbour, who had been estranged from his wife Lily Allen since earlier this year, faced ongoing speculation about infidelity following the release of Allen’s latest album, West End Girl. While the album received great reviews, it also delved into themes of heartbreak and betrayal, fueling rumors about the couple’s strained relationship and separation.
On October 26, the Daily Mail revealed that New Orleans costume designer Natalie Tippett was allegedly the “Madeline” referenced in one of Allen’s songs. The track reportedly included real text message exchanges between Allen and the woman Harbour was said to have had an affair with.
Although Allen did not deny the story, she later appeared to temper its implications. She explained that “Madeline” was not based on a single individual but rather a composite of several women Harbour was rumored to have been involved with.
A source close to the singer told Daily Mail that Allen had experienced significant emotional distress during the period of their separation and had channeled much of that turmoil into her music. Explaining the personal struggle behind her creative process, the insider said Allen’s heartbreak deeply influenced the rawness of her songwriting
“Lily went through a lot of pain in private. There were a lot of tears, a lot of angst. She created some of her best art out of that pain,” the insider said, as per Daily Mail. The source emphasized that despite the heartbreak, Allen had moved on from that dark period and was now focused on positivity and creative fulfillment.
“She’s in a great place now and not seeking revenge. She’s really happy and delighted with her fans’ response to the album,” the source added.Another source close to the couple noted that Allen had faced an especially difficult time while David Harbour was under investigation by Netflix following Millie Bobby Brown’s complaint. Despite the tension surrounding the inquiry, she reportedly chose to stand by her estranged husband.
“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time,” the insider said.At present, David Harbour is working on a new HBO limited series called DTF St. Louis.
