Dominik Mysterio has revealed how he got himself into trouble for his actions on WWE television. Mysterio also shared the company's new rule for him after multiple incidents during shows.
One of the most despised heels in pro wrestling today, "Dirty" Dom has lived up to his nickname. He remains a constant source of heat whenever he's on a show, though his popularity has grown as the AAA Mega Champion in Mexico.
In an appearance on the Towers of Power podcast, Dominik Mysterio was asked if he had received backstage heat for some of his actions on screen. The former Intercontinental Champion admitted that he got an earful after he spat on Dragon Lee. He was also banned from doing "snot rockets" during commercial breaks.
"One of them was, I spit on Dragon Lee. I got to the back. First thing, they're like, 'We don’t spit on people.' I was like, 'I didn’t know.' I was like, 'I didn't spit on him.' I was like, 'I spit my gum.' 'Dom, we do not spit on…' I was like, 'That’s my bad.' I was like, 'On me. I didn't know.' ... There's been a couple times in ring too, like, during commercial breaks, I'll go up in the corner and I'll hit a snot rocket. Not on anyone in specific. If just someone's talking sh't. I’ll look at them… And I've gotten word from the refs. I've just been, 'Hey, was told no more snot rockets.' 'Oh, okay. My bad,'" Dominik said. Former WWE Champion predicts what's next for Dominik Mysterio
Last Monday on RAW, Dominik Mysterio lost the Intercontinental Championship to John Cena in Boston. Former WWE Champion and current analyst Big E loved Dominik's performance despite the defeat. He predicted big things for the 28-year-old superstar on the recent episode of the RAW Recap.
"He didn’t get the job done. But I love this for Dom, and I think this is going to be a moment that we look back on when Dom is a world champion. Who knows, a year, two years from now, whenever that time comes, I think we’ll look back at pivotal moments in his career, his ascension to that top spot and I think we’ll look at this as a great moment in his career," Big E said. [H/T Sports Illustrated]It will be interesting to see what's next for Dominik after losing the Intercontinental Title. He reignited the feud with his father, Rey Mysterio, two weeks ago, possibly culminating in a match for the AAA Mega Championship.
