Boxing star Anthony Joshua has been discharged from a Nigerian hospital just days after a fatal accident in the African country, reports the BBC.
Joshua, who had recently defeated Jake Paul in a Netflix special, was traveling in a Lexus SUV that met with an accident.
The car hit a stationary truck and two of Joshua’s close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, were killed in the accident. Joshua was relatively unhurt but was in great pain after footage of the boxer was shared post the accident.
The report claims that Joshua was deemed fit enough to continue his recovery at home. The British boxer visited the funeral home where the bodies of his friends were being kept.

Authorities added that investigations are still ongoing regarding the crash. However, preliminary reports claim that the Lexus vehicle had a burst tyre before it hit the stationary truck.
Joshua was born to parents of Nigerian descent and had visited the African country on several occasions.
Several combat stars shared their condolences after the accident including Francis Ngannou, Oleksandr Usyk and Paul.
Darren Till slams Anthony Joshua accident coverage
Former UFC star Darren Till took exception to how the public started recording Anthony Joshua after the British star’s accident.
Footage highlighted that many had taken their phones out to start recording instead of giving Joshua some space or helping him out of the vehicle.
Till shared his thoughts on X and condemned the act of recording everything first:
"If you want to know truly f**ked the world is, just go and try and watch the Anthony Joshua car crash, where he is getting dragged out of the car, clearly not OK. And what are people doing? Filming. No one with the slightest concern. Let’s film, film, film. F**ked, let me tell ya. Hope he is OK, and I’m hearing some people may not have made it, so praying for their loved ones."The former UFC star also made a comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo getting swamped with cameras during a recent awards show.
