Ansel Elgort welcomes first baby — but keeps name, gender under wraps

Congratulations are in order for new dad, Ansel Elgort.

The “Fault in Our Stars” actor, 31, has quietly welcomed his first baby, a source told People after the actor was seen out in public holding a baby.

Additional details regarding the baby’s name and gender have not been made available at this time.

Elgort was photographed on Jan. 13 running errands in New York City with the newborn strapped to his chest in a baby carrier.

The “Goldfinch” star was snapped wearing a pair of black leather pants, matching boots which he tucked under his trousers, and a blue and white knit sweater for the chilly outing.

The baby braved the cold weather in a snuggly white sweater onesie.

He was joined by a mystery woman for the stroll. She wore a pair of denim jeans, a black shirt and a white cropped puffer coat.

The trio ended up taking the subway train together to meet up with two older people, who appeared to be his date’s parents.

A rep for Elgort did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Elgort was previously romantically linked to ballerina Violetta Komyshan, whom he dated for nearly 10 years until they called it quits in November 2022.

The former couple first met as students attending LaGuardia high school in New York City.

Rumors of Elgort and Komyshan’s breakup first surfaced after the actor was seen kissing a mystery woman in August 2022.
