Analysts Mike Evans prediction good news for Buccaneers

Mike Evans' future with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers isn't set in stone, and in fact, there is a real chance he's on another team in 2026.

Having played all of his NFL football with the Buccaneers, Evans has reportedly been using a checklist when considering a new team. He wants to go to a contender with a good OC and the promise of a lot of targets.

That narrows down his suitors, and for most, takes out Tampa Bay as one of those teams.

But Bleacher Report's Alex Kay still has hope that Evans will be a Buc in 2026.

"While it's hard to imagine Evans suiting up for any other organization besides the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there is still a chance he finishes out his playing days elsewhere," Kay writes.

"There's still reason to believe Tampa can contend in Evans' final years. As long as Evans' financial asks are reasonable—Spotrac estimates his market value to be a modest $13.3 million per year, a dip from the $21 million he averaged on his recent extension—it makes sense for the receiver to finish out his career in Tampa."

Will Evans be a Buc in 2026?

Suggesting anything right now is purely a guess, but it would be hard to imagine Evans in a different uniform, wouldn't it?

He is Tampa Bay for most fans, and having spent all of his career with the NFC South franchise, it would be a hard pill to swallow for fans to see No. 13 elsewhere.

But that is a reality, and the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens could all be suitors for the veteran.

Where he ends up is unknown, but the chances of returning to Tampa Bay don't appear to be too high right now.
