Claressa Shields found herself in an unexpected social media back-and-forth after a parody video about her relationship with rapper Papoose began circulating online.
The clip, filmed at The Shops at Iverson Mall in Maryland, shows a woman identified as Natarsha Jamison and a friend acting out a skit inspired by the boxer and the rapper. In the video, the pair walk through the mall wearing long fur coats while mimicking the couple’s public persona. One scene features the man portraying Papoose buying inexpensive jewelry from a mall kiosk while the woman playing Shields celebrates being “the GWOAT and Pap,” referencing the boxing champion’s nickname.

The parody eventually caught Shields’ attention, and the undisputed boxing champion responded directly in the comment section.

Jamison fired back with her own reply, escalating the online exchange. “Girl, you better laugh or take your ass upstairs with Pap,” the response read. “More videos coming. Gold Love… Engaged… Pap upstairs face ass. Oh sensitive ass.”
The interaction quickly began circulating across social media, with screenshots of the exchange spreading among boxing and hip-hop audiences.
While the parody sparked the online back-and-forth, Claressa Shields has recently been vocal about her relationship with Papoose and her plans for their future together.
Earlier this month, the undefeated boxer shared a birthday message for the rapper, highlighting how serious she is about their relationship. In a post on X just days before Papoose turned 48, Shields wrote alongside a photo of the two wearing matching fur coats: “My man deserve everything. I wish for his bday I could surprise him with a baby.”
Shields has been open about wanting to start a family with Papoose. During a previous appearance on The Pivot Podcast, the two-time Olympic gold medalist explained that she doesn’t want to delay motherhood until the end of her boxing career.

“I don’t want to wait till I’m, you know, 40, 43, whatever, after my career, to have my kids,” Claressa Shields said during the interview. “I want to be able to run at the park with my kids and stuff like that. I don't want to be too old.”
The Flint, Michigan native has also said she plans to temporarily step away from boxing when the time comes but intends to return to the ring afterward.
