The checklist for the Baltimore Ravens this offseason is a rather lengthy one, and for head coach Jesse Minter, it's enough to make his head spin.
Lamar Jackson's contract is the big item on the menu, but then what to do with Tyler Linderbaum and his impending free agency status, plus how to build out the defense and get Lamar weapons good enough to challenge.
So, there is a lot there, and when it comes to Jackson's weaponry, the Ravens aren't known for spending big on a receiver, but what about in the draft?
Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame thinks the Ravens need to go receiver with their first-round draft pick.
“For years, the Ravens have tried to build a quality receiver room for Lamar Jackson,” Verderame wrote. “In a draft that’s loaded with top-end talent at wideout, general manager Eric DeCosta should take another swing. Picking at No. 14, there’s a possibility that one or two of Makai Lemon, Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson will be available. If one is, DeCosta should strongly consider placing them opposite Flowers.”

Ravens face defining offseason
There's a lot to do, and so little time to do it in with free agency fast approaching, but the Ravens have to find a way to make it work.
Lamar's contract has to be restructured or extended. Linderbaum can't be allowed to walk out the door as a free agent, and the Ravens need to build out the roster around Jackson to give Minter the best possible chance at doing what John Harbaugh couldn't.
Can Baltimore get it all done in one offseason? It's probably unlikely, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't try.
Is a young first-round receiver the answer for the offense and Lamar's weapons? It worked out with Flowers. Could it happen again?
