While with the Houston Rockets, Jalen Green was one of the most durable players in the league. Unfortunately, Green strained his hamstring not once, but twice in the 2025-26 season after getting traded to the Phoenix Suns.
It has been a persistent issue for the Suns, which has limited their squad. Green was meant to be the Suns' secondary star to Devin Booker, but he has not been as consistent as he would like.
Suns GM Brian Gregory opens up about Green's injury struggles
Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Suns have been dealing with injuries. Green has been the primary player who has faced those issues, but there have been some small yet impactful injuries like the one to Booker.
The Suns already surprised people by performing well this season. Many counted them out as a team that would struggle without Kevin Durant, but they have done the opposite with their standout performances.

General manager Brian Gregory deserves some credit for seeing that the Suns would thrive more with a well-rounded team. Dillon Brooks' breakout is also relevant, which mostly came from him stepping up in Green's absence.
Since Green has continued to face injuries, Gregory has addressed the situation. The athletic guard looks ready to be at full strength now, which is a good sign for Phoenix.
"He's in a good spot right now. Injuries are, unfortunately, a part of this league. He's done an unbelievable job, just his spirit on a daily basis in terms of attacking the rehab and attacking the recovery and workouts has been spot on from day one," Gregory said ahead of the season's second half.
It is understandable that the fans have some frustrations about Green's injury struggles. However, it seems that he is ready to help the team emerge much better than before.
