These are all the games releasing on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 in January 2026. There are certainly some obvious highlights, such as Code Vein 2, which was showcased at the Summer Game Fest 2026 to much hype and crowd applause. The game takes players to a horrific future where the protagonist races against time in order to save the world from Revenants turned into mindless horrors.
On the other end of the spectrum is Highguard, a game unveiled last at The Game Awards 2025, which became subject to much critique given its hero shooter tropes. Players were quick to compare it to Sony's Concord; however, things may change once the game is officially released.
Apart from this, the Metroidvania Platformer, Memories in Orbit, is also set to arrive on January 20, 2026. It's a fascinating new title where players play as Mio, an android stuck in a giant mechanical ark with various machines to tackle and fight. Much like Hollow Knight, this game involves unlocking skills and resources in order to gain an upper hand in the hostile world out to hunt down the protagonist.
Fans of the Nintendo Switch 2 are getting various exciting games in January 2026, such as Dynasty Warriors: Origin. It's an action RPG game where you get to hack and slash your way through your enemies as a nameless hero fighting a war. The game was originally released in January 2025, but will soon arrive on Nintendo's handheld device.
Regardless, these are all the games that players will get to play on various platforms in January 2026.
