Alex Bregman, Garret Crochet and more react to Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford's romantic Sanibel Island proposal

Boston Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford proposed to his girlfriend, Alexandra Taranto, on Wednesday at Sanibel Island in Florida.

On Instagram, Crawford posted some photos of the romantic moment. Crawford wore a white T-shirt with light-colored pants, while Alexandra kept a simple outfit in a beige-toned, off-shoulder sweater paired with denim. The post featured candid moments between the couple and Alexandra showed off her engagement ring.

“Alexandra Crawford has a lovely ring to it, here’s to being together forever 🫶🏼,” he wrote.

Former Red Sox players Brennan Bernardino and Alex Bregman shared their reactions in the comments section.

“Congratulations!” Bernardino wrote. “Congratulations kuttttttt,” Bregman wrote.

Red Sox teammates Garrett Crochet and Michael Lorenzo Romero also reacted.

“Congrats!!” Crochet wrote. “Congrats man!!” Romero wrote.

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Chase Shugart wrote:

Kutter Crawford called his fiancée Alexandra “queen”

In September, Alexandra posted images of her friend Shannon's wedding on Instagram, where she wore a designer ivory slit dress.

Another image highlighted Crawford and Alexandra enjoying a boat getaway in the middle of the water. She wore a red two-piece bikini, while other images showed her enjoying a drink with her close-knit group.

“Been having so much fun, forgot to share ✨.”

Crawford dropped a single-word reaction:

“Queen.”

Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck’s wife, Abby, also admired her:

“living your best life!”

Alexandra first shared a post with Crawford in May 2023. He wore his Boston Red Sox uniform, while she wore a beige-toned bralette paired with denim shorts and posed on the mound of Chase Field.

“Quick trip out west to see my guy ❤️,” she captioned the post.

Kutter Crawford missed the entire 2025 season due to lingering knee and wrist injuries. Now, he is all prepared for the 2026 season.
