Akshay Bhatia ties the knot with Presleigh Schultz in the Bahamas

Akshay Bhatia has married his longtime partner, Presleigh Schultz, with the couple tying the knot in the Bahamas earlier this month. Their wedding took place on December 12, shortly after the Hero World Challenge at The Abaco Club.

Akshay Bhatia shared moments from the wedding on Friday, December 19, posting a carousel of photos from the beachside ceremony on Instagram. According to their wedding videographer Emma K. Burke the celebrations were part of a three-day wedding weekend in the Bahamas.

For the ceremony Schultz wore a white strapless wedding gown while Bhatia opted for a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and black bow tie. Sharing the photos Bhatia captioned the post:

“Here’s to loving and celebrating each other forever ❤️ Thank you to everyone who made this week possible!!”

Ahead of the wedding Bhatia spoke briefly about his preparations during the Hero World Challenge admitting he played a small role in the planning.

“I didn't really do much planning. I pretty much just helped with, you know, I got my tux and got it fitted and that's about it,” he said. (via Golfweek)

Bhatia and Schultz have been together since 2019 after the golfer first reached out to her on Instagram. Schultz has been a regular presence at his tournaments over the years and has even caddied for him at events such as the Simmons Bank Open and the RSM Classic.

The couple got engaged in 2023 with Bhatia proposing during a vineyard visit in Napa Valley. They later made their engagement public in September that year. That same year Akshay Bhatia won his first PGA Tour title at the Barracuda Championship. After the victory he spoke about Schultz’s support, saying

“She’s been through it all with me. She had no idea what golf was when I met her. Now she travels every week with me, and it is not easy because it is all about me 100% of the time... I couldn’t imagine my life without her and being on this journey without her. She has done a lot for me.”

The couple later went on to celebrate their engagement before tying the knot this year.

Much of her content features moments from life on tour where she regularly shares photos and videos while supporting Bhatia at tournaments.
