One of the most influential moves in the NBA was when LeBron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers and formed a Big 3 with the Miami Heat. Together with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, the trio won two NBA titles in their four years as teammates.

However, James' longtime agent, Rich Paul, revealed that he wasn't a big fan of his client joining the Heat. On Friday's episode of the "Game Over" podcast, Paul talked about how he felt when the four-time champion decided to jump ship and join Miami.

He mentioned that after calling himself the biggest critic of his client. Paul also revealed that he gave Wade and Bosh the silent treatment when James joined the Heat in the summer of 2010.

“I’m the biggest LeBron critic of all critics. I did not like LeBron going to Miami,” Paul said. “D-Wade told the story. I didn’t speak to him or Chris Bosh, at all. I was furious. But I was wrong.”

Although Paul didn't like James' decision, it still became one of the best moves of his career. He earned his first two championships in Miami and added two MVPs to his resume. Eventually, the league's all-time leading scorer returned to the Cavaliers in the summer of 2014, forming another Big 3 with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

Dwyane Wade put an end to the Miami Heat's GOAT debate with LeBron James

Both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade had incredible runs with the Miami Heat. James helped win a pair of championships while being the best player in the NBA. Wade, on the other hand, has been synonymous with the Heat franchise for his 15-year stay.

In June, Wade addressed which player between himself and James is the greatest player in franchise history. He spoke about it on an episode of the "Wy Network."

“I have the greatest body of work of anybody that’s ever put a Miami Heat jersey on,” Wade said. “If you wanna be honest, LeBron James is the greatest player to ever put a Miami Heat jersey on… I’m the greatest player in the history of the Miami Heat for the body of work I had wearing that jersey, but I’m not the greatest player to ever put on a Miami Heat jersey.”

Wade points out that LeBron James is the better player. However, he's done so much for the Heat organization. He led Miami to win the NBA championship in 2006 with Shaquille O'Neal.

Wade also kept the franchise competitive before and after the James era. This is why he was honored by being the first Heat legend to have a statue. His No. 3 jersey was also retired in February 2020.
