AJ Styles' former tag team partner in WWE recently commented on the veteran's upcoming retirement from in-ring competition in 2026. Styles is currently aligned with Dragon Lee on WWE RAW, and the duo currently holds the World Tag Team Championships.

Omos used to be in a tag team with AJ Styles, and the duo won the RAW Tag Team Championships together. In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, The Nigerian Giant said it was sad that AJ Styles would be retiring next year because he is one of the greats. He also stated that Styles was a family man and wanted to spend more time with them.

“I mean, it’s kind of sad. He’s one of the greats. He’s wrestled for over 25 years at this point. It’s sad that someone as great as him is gonna be hanging up the boots. But still, I’m happy because knowing him personally, I know that he’s also a family man. He has a beautiful family and I also know that he’s getting to spend time with his kids," he said.

The veteran added that Styles has been successful in every company he's worked for and has accomplished everything in the business.

"He’s been successful in every company he’s ever wrestled, you know, from Ring of Honor, New Japan, TNA, WWE. He’s done it all. He’s done everything. He’s truly ‘The Phenomenal One.’ That moniker is not just a moniker just for nothing. It means something. He’s done it at the highest level for 25 years and still continues to do so," he added. Vince Russo doubts WWE can book AJ Styles' final year correctly

Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently cast doubt that WWE can book AJ Styles' final year in the ring correctly.

Speaking on Writing with Russo, the veteran suggested that the company may not know how to book the 48-year-old's final year of in-ring competition. He claimed that the promotion would likely just book AJ Styles against WWE stars he wanted to work with during his final run with the company.

"Bro, I don't even know. Like I don't know what to tell you. As a shoot, I would let AJ work against who he wants to work against. Let's face it, we're in the era of the five star match. There is no way out, especially when he announces he's on his way out. So you can't do a loser leaves town angle because you told us you're leaving. So we know you're leaving at the end of the year. So, everybody knows the end of the story. So knowing them, the easy way out is to let them have matches with people that he wants to have matches, man."

8-years-ago today, AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to win the WWE Title on SmackDown.

It will be fascinating to see how long AJ Styles and Dragon Lee can hold onto the World Tag Team Championships moving forward on WWE RAW.
