Gabby Thomas reacted to yet another doping ban in the track and field community. On November 10, USADA announced the 45-month suspension of the 2022 World Champion 100m silver medalist Bracy-Williams for anti-doping violations.
Last year, the organization reportedly started an investigation against him after receiving information about possible rule violations. They collected his out-of-contention urine sample, after which he allegedly tested positive for testosterone and then was provisionally suspended on February 5.
During the procedure, it was also reportedly discovered that initially Williams attempted to tamper with the investigation but later admitted to the violation. Based on his admission, his suspension was reduced by one year. Along with this, the 31-year-old reportedly received a separate 24-month ban for a second violation, allegedly for three whereabouts failures between August 2023 and June 2024.
The athlete is expected to be eligible to return to competition in November 2027. Citius Mag shared this news on Instagram:

Thomas' comment on InstagramGabby Thomas recently opened up about facing doping allegations in 2020. She revealed that she had been provisionally suspended for missing three doping tests, which was later removed in July 2020 after she appealed in court.
"I was never banned, I never committed any type of anti-doping violation. Once I decided to speak out for myself, everything was cleared out.”Explaining her circumstances, she revealed that she wasn't aware of provisions during her junior year, which led to the whole situation. She received mail instructing her to submit her whereabouts information; however, the sprinter had no idea about it, and neither did her coach. Believing the mail to be a scam, she did not upload the information, which ultimately led to the misunderstanding.

"Doping coaches should be banned for life from coaching in the sport. Whether you were banned while competing as an athlete or caught distributing as a coach (for some, both). Idc idc idc If you train under a coach who is known for doping (once, twice, or even three times for some) you are complicit. That’s my stance," Gabby Thomas wrote on her Instagram story.Thomas followed up with another message on X talking about the betterment of the sport.
