A former WWE star recently disclosed that Charlotte Flair convinced him to make a comeback at the global sports entertainment juggernaut. AEW star Andrade left the company in December 2023 and returned to the Stamford-based promotion. Unfortunately, his run didn't last long as he became All Elite once again earlier this year. However, due to a rival company's cease-and-desist notice, El Idolo is currently on the sidelines, as he is banned from wrestling.

The former United States Champion got married to the Queen in 2022. Unfortunately, their marriage didn't last long as they filed for divorce last year in June. Andrade recently revealed he returned to WWE in 2024 for Charlotte Flair.

While speaking on Enmascarados TUDN, El Idolo said AEW offered him more money than he had in 2023 to stay All Elite. However, he rejected the offer and returned to WWE, as the former couple had decided to stay in one company.

“AEW offered me almost double to stay… but I chose WWE because of love. She supported me. We talked as a couple — why not go back to WWE and do something together? Maybe I could help her career, and she could help mine. We’d never done anything together on TV. So we decided: let’s try. It wasn’t just me using her. It was our decision. She was happy," he said. Andrade reveals if Charlotte Flair asked WWE to fire him

After the details of the divorce emerged, rumours were flying around that Andrade left WWE because his marriage to the Queen didn't work out.

While speaking on El Ring, the former United States Champion claimed that Charlotte Flair didn't get him fired and that he didn't leave the company because of her.

“We started having some problems, and then came the divorce. People ask if she had something to do with my leaving WWE, she didn’t. She never went to management to get me fired or anything like that," he said.

It will be interesting to see when fans will see Andrade wrestle.
