AEW and WWE never miss a chance to take jabs at each other. The two wrestling promotions had a competitive 2025, and Tony Khan recently went after the global sports entertainment juggernaut. Madison Square Garden has been WWE's sacred arena for many decades, as the company has often had major moments there.

Last week, after Collision went off air, Tony Khan came out and chatted with the audience. During the conversation, the AEW President revealed that the company's first Dynamite was supposed to take place at Madison Square Garden, but, allegedly due to WWE, the booking was cancelled months ahead of the show.

Tonight's Christmas edition of Collision is taking place in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Nigel McGuinness, the commentator on tonight's show, took a subtle shot at WWE as he mentioned that Madison Square Garden is not far away from them.

Tony Khan addresses the future of AEW

A few weeks ago, Netflix, which currently streams WWE, revealed that it had acquired Warner Bros., the home of All Elite Wrestling. Many fans were wondering what this means for Tony Khan's promotion.

Speaking with TV Insider, Tony claimed that All Elite Wrestling will be with Warner Bros. for more than 2 years. He also hoped that their deal with WB would be extended in the future.

"I think we have a lot of certainty and are very excited. 2025 is the most exciting year yet for AEW, and our partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery was reimagined this year and will continue for years to come. We’re locked in with TNT, TBS, and HBO Max for over two more years. The future is bright for us for years to come," Tony said.

It will be interesting to see if the global sports entertainment juggernaut responds to the Jacksonville-based promotion after recent jabs.
