In the past two years, the former TNT Champion faced many setbacks due to multiple injuries. However, this one may be more serious.
While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Tony Khan said the possibility of Adam Cole stepping foot in the squared circle again was low and discussed other roles for him.
“I think it would have to be the right situation for Adam [Cole] to wrestle again. I think it’s at least possible that we would keep Adam as part of the family, but I want to get to where he feels good about travelling and doing things every week again. I’ve been open with him that when he’s ready, there’s always a role in AEW for him. He had been a commentator at times, he's been one of the hosts of the shows, he's great for that," Khan said.It will be interesting to see if fans receive any good news regarding Adam's health in 2026.
