The event was hosted by comedian Rob Schneider and Christian author Frank Turek.

Netizens weighed in on the conversation and shared their thoughts:
@FoxNews Aye, makes for a right dramatic scene, doesn’t it? But how about we focus on the issues instead of the theatrics—politics isn’t a circus, love!
@FoxNews No amount of anti-social behavior will make daddy love them again.
@FoxNews It’s so sad that the university I attended over 30 years ago has devolved into this. We used to have vigorous discussions and debates. Now I see violence and an overly progressive hive mind. What happens to diversity of thought and respectful discourse. Embarrassing.
Fans continued to discuss the incident:
@FoxNews I didn't see him cross a barricade? There may be a good argument that the police violated this man's freedom of speech. We'll see.
@FoxNews Protect free speech and ensure radical agitators face consequences.
@FoxNews Gen Z needs to learn to date. This kind of extremist behavior is getting to be normal with them.
According to UC Berkeley's campus paper, the Daily Californian, at least three people were arrested during the protest, while two were detained after a violent altercation broke out.
Protests broke out outside UC Berkeley ahead of Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA event
On Monday, November 10, groups of protestors gathered outside the Zellerbach Hall to chant anti-fascist slogans ahead of Turning Point USA's American Comeback tour event. For those unaware, Turning Point USA is a youth organization founded by conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was assassinated with a single bullet to the neck on September 10, while delivering a talk at Utah Valley University as a part of the same tour. Following his death, the tour has focused on his legacy and spreading the activist's message in universities across the United States.
Ahead of the UC Berkeley event, protestors began chanting slogans like "Fascists out of Berkeley", "We won the war, why are there still Nazis", and "No safe space for fascist scum." The slogans were seemingly critical of Charlie Kirk's controversial views on multiple topics, including US gun laws, abortion, and his political standing.
Two hours before the commencement of the event, protestors also began chanting "f*ck Charlie Kirk" slogans outside the venue. Meanwhile, multiple police officers also gathered in the venue to make way for people to enter and block the entrance to the venue where the event was taking place.
According to the Daily Californian, police also arrested four students on charges of alleged vandalism as they reportedly tried to hang a large cardboard sign on the UC Berkeley gates ahead of Turning Point USA's event. Moreover, a fight broke out outside the venue at around 4:30 PM PST. As per a video captured by Fox News Digital, two men fought each other, with blood gushing out of one's face. Speaking to the outlet about the arrests made that night, the Berkeley Police Department said:
"I do not have the specific details of what the arrests were for.At this point, I can share that one of the parties was arrested for battery."Despite the protests, the Monday night show, described as a chance to "be a part of the movement built on Charlie’s legacy", was sold out.
Since Charlie Kirk's death, multiple eminent personalities, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, have spoken about preserving the conservative activist's legacy. Moreover, multiple people lost their jobs and faced disciplinary action over their previous and alleged comments about the activist's views or his death.
