Coming off a brutal month of December, the New York Jets are trudging to the final week of the season against the Buffalo Bills. The Jets haven't had much go their way this season, from the start of the year's seven-game losing streak to now.
But there are so many different players and phases of the game, there's bound to be some positives to take away from this season. Aaron Glenn thinks so.
Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic shared how Glenn responded when asked for his positives from the 2025 season. The Jets' first-year head coach revealed four positive takeaways from 2025, and none involved the defense.
Aaron Glenn reveals four positives from 2025 Jets season
Glenn revealed that "Running the ball on offense, penalty improvement, special teams as a whole, and the field goal team" were the main positive takeaways from the 2025 NFL season.
His final point, with the field goal team, was in relation to how the blocking unit hasn't allowed a single blocked field goal this season.
But these positives are, overall, disappointing ones for the Jets. The running game has been fine, but Breece Hall and the Jets are always down in games, leaving little room for the run game to get going and impact the game in a big way.
The penalty improvement is something that's a positive for the Jets and is a testament to the coaching job from Glenn this season.
But the lack of any defensive positives is noteworthy. Glenn is a defensive coach and was a former NFL cornerback. For there to be no positives on defense from the entire season, it's not a great look.

With a defense that hasn't secured an interception all season long, at risk of being the only team to go a full season without an interception if they don't get one in Week 18, it's hard to believe the Jets had much to be positive about defensively.
The four positives Glenn shared from the 2025 season for the Jets show just how disappointing a year it's been.
Two positives were on special teams, one revolved around penalties, and the other was a running game that will likely lose its key running back next year.
The 2025 Jets season is one to forget and move on from. Glenn and the Jets desperately need a rebound season in 2026, and at the very least, three quarters of these positives can be impactful next season.
