Chris Jericho recently posted a picture with Kevin Owens on Instagram, and the WWE Universe can't stop talking about it. Y2J and The Prizefighter were spotted together at an NHL game, once again sparking speculation about Jericho returning to the global juggernaut.

The 54-year-old veteran has teased making a comeback to the Stamford-based promotion following the expiration of his AEW contract. Fans are clamoring for the legend to have one last run in WWE before his eventual Hall of Fame induction.

Given their storied history, the veteran's final run would be incomplete without an on-screen reunion with Kevin Owens. Let's look at four reasons why WWE must re-sign Chris Jericho and reunite him with The Prizefighter:

Did The Rock's "Final Boss" run hurt WWE? Watch Here!

#4. It would allow Chris Jericho to bring back "The List of Jericho"

One of the main highlights of the Canadian duo's alliance was "The List of Jericho." Y2J carried a notepad around and wrote the names of people who bothered him. This gimmick became wildly popular and re-established Jericho as a top act.

While the veteran can bring back The List on his own, it would arguably not be the same without Kevin Owens by his side. The Prizefighter's little jabs and remarks made Jericho putting people on The List even funnier.

#3. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens could win the Tag Team Championship

The friendship of Jericho and Owens proved to be fruitful for their singles careers. KO won the Universal Championship, and Jericho captured the United States Title. However, despite their undeniable chemistry, the duo never captured the tag team titles, something that should have happened before their split.

Therefore, Jeri-KO must reunite and have a run with tag team gold, something that's only possible if WWE re-signs Jericho, and Owens is cleared to compete.

#2. It could set up a storyline with Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn

Many consider Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to be wrestling soulmates who can only be separated for so long, as they eventually find a way to be in the same ring, either fighting alongside or against each other.

Add Chris Jericho into the mix, who's also Owens' iconic frenemy, and you have a blockbuster storyline between the Canadians, something that is sure to excite fans all over the world.

#1. WWE needs to right the wrong of WrestleMania 33

The storyline between Owens and Jericho was the hottest act of that time. KO reigned as the Universal Champion, while Y2J held the United States Championship. Following their split, fans expected the storyline to result in a massive clash between the Canadian duo for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 33.

However, Owens dropped the title to Goldberg in 22 seconds at Fastlane 2017, and the eventual bout between The Prizefighter and Y2J ended up being for the US Title. Not only that, but despite such a layered story and buildup, the match was placed second on the card, undermining its importance.

Chris Jericho has stated that this played a big role in his decision to leave WWE in 2018. Therefore, WWE must right this wrong by reuniting Jeri-KO and eventually having Jericho face Owens for a world championship on a major stage.
