Here are three surprises that Tony Khan could pull off on the final AEW show before Full Gear 2025.

#3. AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander could cause Mercedes Mone to lose her match

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone currently holds thirteen belts across several promotions worldwide. She is the Interim ROH Women's World Television Champion. She won this title from Mina Shirakawa at WrestleDream 2025. Interestingly, she is set to lock horns with the reigning ROH Women's World Television Champion, Red Velvet, this Wednesday. This is going to be a title unification match.

On the other hand, Mone is also feuding with AEW Women's World Champion Kris Statlander. The latter is set to defend her title against Mone at Full Gear. However, the Galaxy's Greatest Alien might pull a masterstroke on Wednesday. She might interfere in the CEO's match and cost her the title. This way, the world champion will enter the upcoming pay-per-view with an immense advantage.

#2. TayJay could defeat Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir

TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay) will lock horns with Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in the quarterfinals of the ongoing AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship tournament this Wednesday. Bayne and Shafir are favorites to win this match. However, Tony Khan might shock the world with his booking.

Tay Melo and Anna Jay might convincingly defeat Bayne and Shafir this week. Although it is unlikely that they will win the entire tournament, this victory will ultimately benefit TayJay.

#1. "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Katsuyori Shibata could end in a DQ

"Hangman" Adam Page defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Blood and Guts. He is now set to defend his world title against Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage match at Full Gear. Hobbs, Joe, and Katsuyori Shibata are members of The Opps, and on Wednesday, The Anxious Millennial Cowboy will lock horns with the Japanese star.

This showdown will probably end in a DQ due to the interference of Hobbs and The Samoan Submission Machine. Only time will tell if the former WWE star will become a two-time AEW World Champion.
