India completed a 30-run win over South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Friday, December 19, in the fifth and final T20I. With the victory, the Men in Blue won the five-match series 3-1. The fourth fixture was abandoned without the toss due to excessive fog.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. The hosts were off to a quick-fire start, with openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson forming a 63-run stand from 34 balls.

Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya dazzled the viewers with their explosive batting displays. Tilak was the top scorer, amassing 73 runs off 42 balls, while Hardik scored 63 runs from just 25 deliveries.

India finished on 231/5 after 20 overs. Corbin Bosch picked up two wickets for the visitors. South Africa fell short of the target, managing 201/8 after 20 overs.

Quinton de Kock played an impressive 65-run knock in 35 balls. Dewald Brevis also chipped in with an impactful performance, contributing 31 runs off 17 deliveries.

Varun Chakaravarthy bagged a four-wicket haul, and Jasprit Bumrah claimed two scalps. Hardik was named the Player of the Match for his blistering batting exploits.

On that note, let's take a look at three moments from the clash that generated a buzz among the fans.

#1 Umpire and cameraman get hit amid Indian batters' carnage

The Indian batters entertained fans with their attacking approach. However, there were a couple of incidents during the game where the umpire and cameraman were hit on their bodies.

In the ninth over, Sanju Samson played a straight drive off Donovan Ferreira's bowling. There was a caught and bowled chance, but the bowler failed to gather the ball.

The ball deflected from his hands and ended up hitting on-field umpire Rohan Pandit on his knee. The official looked in a lot of pain after the blow.

Hardik Pandya hit a stunning six on his very first ball later during the innings. He stepped out of the crease and cleared the boundary over the long-off fence against Corbin Bosch.

The ball went into the stands, where it hit a cameraman's shoulder. The cameraman was attended by physios after being hit and was also given an icepack.

#2 Hardik Pandya takes George Linde to the cleaners

Hardik Pandya made his intentions clear right from ball one. The swashbuckling batter looked in ominous touch as he played some splendid strokes. George Linde faced the wrath of the all-rounder's form in the 14th over.

The over kicked off with Tilak Varma hitting a six over long-on. Hardik followed it by striking two sixes and as many fours, and the two accumulated 27 runs from the six balls.

It is worth mentioning that Hardik completed his fifty in just 16 balls. It was the second-fastest half-century by an Indian batter in T20Is

#3 Shivam Dube takes a nonchalant one-handed catch to dismiss Reeza Hendricks

Varun Chakaravarthy drew first blood for the home team by dismissing South African opener Reeza Hendricks in the seventh over. The batter hit the ball in the air on the leg side.

Dube ran in the direction of the ball and plucked out a brilliant one-handed stunner to end Hendricks' scratchy knock. The opening batter departed after scoring 13 runs off 12 balls.
