India secured a comfortable five-wicket win over Australia at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, on Sunday, November 2, in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match series. The Men in Blue bounced back brilliantly after their four-wicket defeat in the second fixture to level the series 1-1.

After being asked to bat first, Australia finished on 186/6 after 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh helped India get off to a fantastic start, dismissing Travis Head (6 off 4) and Josh Inglis (1 off 7) early.

Tim David bailed the hosts out of trouble with a blistering half-century. The swashbuckling batter scored 74 runs off just 38 deliveries. Marcus Stoinis also played an impactful 64-run knock from 39 balls.

Arshdeep was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Playing in his first game of the series, the left-arm pacer recorded impressive figures of 4-0-35-3. Varun Chakaravarthy did a tidy job as well, delivering a spell of 4-0-33-2.

Washington Sundar was the top performer with the bat for the visitors in the chase. The southpaw narrowly missed out on a well-deserved fifty, remaining unbeaten on 49 off 23 balls.

The likes of Tilak Varma (29 off 26), Abhishek Sharma (25 off 16), Suryakumar Yadav (24 off 11) and Jitesh Sharma (22* off 13) chipped in with crucial cameos. The side chased the target in 18.3 overs.

Nathan Ellis picked up three wickets, while Xavier Bartlett and Marcus Stoinis picked up one scalp each. Arshdeep was adjudged the Player of the Match for his wonderful bowling exploits.

Here, we take a look at three moments from the contest that generated a buzz among the fans.

#1 Tim David hits one of the longest sixes in international cricket

Tim David was at his explosive best in the encounter. The right-handed batter entertained the viewers with his big hitting, striking five sixes and eight fours.

He struck a gigantic 129m six off Axar Patel's bowling on the fifth ball of the seventh over. The left-arm spinner dished out a full-length delivery. David went down the ground and sent the ball sailing over the fence for a maximum.

The shot almost cleared the ground. According to news.com.au, David's hit was the longest-ever six in T20Is.

#2 Washington Sundar takes Sean Abbott to the cleaners

Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar looked in great touch with the bat. Australian pacer Sean Abbott faced the wrath of the batter's form in the 14th over of the run chase.

On the fourth ball, Washington hit a short-pitched ball for a four towards cover. There was no respite for Abbott following that, as the 26-year-old followed it up by smashing back-to-back sixes over mid-wicket.

Abbott ended up conceding 19 runs from the over. It was a tough outing for him overall as he finished with dismal figures of 3.3-0-56-0.

#3 Xavier Bartlett takes a splendid catch to end Team India all-rounder's knock

Axar Patel got off to a decent start with the bat, scoring 17 runs off 12 balls. However, his stay at the crease was cut short by a sensational on-field effort from Xavier Bartlett.

Nathan Ellis kicked off the 12th over by bowling a sharp short ball to Axar. The batter was visibly surprised by the bouncer. He went for the pull but was late to the shot.

Xavier Bartlett, who was stationed at midwicket, completed an excellent diving catch to send Axar back to the pavilion.

The action now moves to Gold Coast, where India and Australia will lock horns at the Bill Pippen Oval in the fourth T20I of the series on Thursday, November 6
