Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold joined elite company after the Seahawks' 27-10 win against the Carolina Panthers in their Week 17 clash over the weekend.
As the Seahawks registered their 13th win of the season after defeating the Panthers, Darnold became only the fifth quarterback in NFL history to have 13+ wins in consecutive seasons.
Darnold, who had 14 wins with the Minnesota Vikings last season, joined Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre on an exclusive list of quarterbacks.

"I've been to where he was, McCoy said. "Sam Darnold, he showed back who he is.Last week they won. Who they play last week? He played so bad. I don't know how they won that game. Who they play? All them picks he was doing… "Y'all keep saying how much better they'll be with him. I don't know cuz he plays good for couple weeks then he gets back to who he is seeing ghosts, seeing spiders.."Although Darnold joined an exclusive list after the Week 17 win, the Seahawks quarterback didn't have his best game against the Panthers, completing 18-of-27 attempts for 147 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception and a fumble.
NFL insider warns about Seahawks QB Sam Darnold's turnover issues
Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold will face the 49ers on Saturday. A win would give him another 14-win season and clinch the NFC West title for Seattle and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
However, NFL insider Brady Henderson is worried about Darnold's interception problem this season.
"Their two turnovers Sunday came via a Sam Darnold fumble and an interception," Henderson said. "While both were questionable officiating calls, Darnold now leads the league with 20 giveaways. "As has been the case most of the season, the Seahawks overcame them thanks to their elite defense. However, they can't expect to continue to win like that in the playoffs -- or even in Week 18, for that matter."It will be interesting to see how the Seahawks will fare against the San Francisco 49ers in their final game of the season with the division title on the line.
