Competing in the prestigious Masters Tournament is a dream of many golfers around the globe. With the onset of Christmas, the Masters management has decided to surprise the golfers with gifts. A 27-year-old pro golfer just got his dream come true after receiving an official invite from Augusta National.
On December 24, Marco Penge shared a picture of the invitational letter he received for the 2026 Masters on X. In the picture, Penge shared an image of the invitation from the Board of Governors of the Augusta National Golf Club to compete for the Green Jacket in April.
The golfer shared his excitement in the caption and wrote on X:
"Early Christmas Present! An invitation i have dreamt, to have received since i started this game. Thank you @TheMasters 💚🌸"Take a look at Penge's X post:

Marco Penge's letter, signed by Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley, came months after the former won his third DP World Tour title. The golfer's playoff win against fellow English pro golfer Daniel Brown in the 2025 Spanish Open earned him the bid to play in the 2026 Masters. Even months before, Penge longed for a heartwarming moment to unfold in Augusta National.
Marco Penge shared a heartwarming vision for Augusta National, called Masters the "best tournament to watch"
Marco Penge spoke on a variety of topics in the press conference before the Australian PGA Championship in November. The three-time DP World Tour winner also shared his excitement about playing in the traditional Par 3 and watching his son sport the white caddie suits.
Penge also complimented the aforementioned major for being the best tournament to watch and further said in the press conference:
"As a father, I'm most looking forward to playing the Par 3 seeing my little boy having a hit in the white overalls at Augusta; how good’s that?" "For me.. the best tournament to watch … the best players in the world are together, [the traditions like] the green jacket, Augusta National, the conditioning, the scenery..."Penge also stated after his Open de España win that he aimed to get into the top 50 in the world and earn a place in the Masters, after missing the chance to play in the Ryder Cup. He also claimed that even though he knew he would earn enough points to qualify for the major, qualifying via the Spanish Open victory was "just amazing."
