1x PGA Tour predicts Brooks Koepka's 2026 schedule after LIV exit

Brooks Koepka's exit from LIV Golf has resulted in rising speculation; Michael Kim has made his prediction on the future of the five-time major champion and the PGA Tour. He said that Koepka might not play anywhere in 2026 except competing in the major championships.

On Tuesday, December 23, Koepka announced that he was leaving LIV Golf with immediate effect. The five-time major champion cited family reasons for his sudden exit.

Reacting to the recent developments, Michael Kim wrote his prediction about Brooks Koepka's future on X.

"ZERO insider knowledge but my two cents: PGA Tour puts out a super nothing statement lol," he wrote. "Obviously a statement to keep all options open. I assume with LIV letting Brooks go, there's an understanding that he doesn't play anywhere in 26 except prob the majors." "Brooks is one of the well liked guys that went to LIV. I'm going to guess that he’s going to have less difficulty coming back than others especially with Brian Rolapp in charge. Brooks is a star and an important figure in golf. Wouldn't be surprised to see Brooks playing a full tour schedule along with the big changes coming in a couple yrs. Again, I have no intimate knowledge. Just a big guess," he added.

For the uninitiated, as per current rulings, the LIV-defected players have to remain in a one-year cooling period from their last participation. Notably, the last LIV Golf event took place in August, which means Koepka will be eligible by August 2026.

Who replaced Brooks Koepka in LIV Golf?

Following Brooks Koepka's exit from LIV Golf, Talor Gooch has replaced the ace golfer as the new captain. The four-time winner on the Saudi-backed circuit will lead Smash GC in the 2026 season.

Following his appointment as Smash GC's captain, Gooch thanked Brooks Koepka, referring to him as one of the greatest competitors in the game.

I have learned so much from him while being his teammate on Smash GC," he wrote on X. "He's a friend and teammate, and I have great respect for his decision. I wish him, Jena, and their family all the best. "Looking ahead, I am incredibly honored and excited to officially take on the Captaincy role for the 2026 season. The LIV Golf 2026 season will kick off in February with the Riyadh event.
