On Tuesday, December 23, Koepka announced that he was leaving LIV Golf with immediate effect. The five-time major champion cited family reasons for his sudden exit.
Reacting to the recent developments, Michael Kim wrote his prediction about Brooks Koepka's future on X.

For the uninitiated, as per current rulings, the LIV-defected players have to remain in a one-year cooling period from their last participation. Notably, the last LIV Golf event took place in August, which means Koepka will be eligible by August 2026.
Who replaced Brooks Koepka in LIV Golf?
Following Brooks Koepka's exit from LIV Golf, Talor Gooch has replaced the ace golfer as the new captain. The four-time winner on the Saudi-backed circuit will lead Smash GC in the 2026 season.
Following his appointment as Smash GC's captain, Gooch thanked Brooks Koepka, referring to him as one of the greatest competitors in the game.
