Lydia Ko reacted to the emotional message Lindy Duncan shared on social media after she won the Heather Farr Perseverance Award. Duncan, who has been playing professionally since 2013, has yet to secure her first win. Earlier this year, she came close in the Chevron Championship but settled in a tie for second place.
For her resiliency, she has been awarded at the Rolex LPGA Awards on Monday. On Wednesday, Lindy Duncan shared a few pictures of her award ceremony along with the screenshots of her speech she gave after receiving the award. She received the award from Lydia Ko and has shared a picture with her in the post and penned a heartfelt caption.
"Thank you @rolex and @lpga_tour for the Heather Farr Perseverance Award. The speech I read last tonight is one of the most honest things I’ve ever written. It’s all in the slides. ❤️ Honored beyond words. Grateful for the journey," Duncan wrote.Ko reacted to the post with a sweet message.
"Such a beautiful speech! You’re an inspiration to many of us," Ko wrote.

“If I choose to play golf without guarantees, why play? The answer was simple. Honoring this life means me living it joyfully, being playful, present, laughing often and letting perseverance come from love instead of fear," Duncan said (via Golf Digest).This season on the LPGA Tour, Duncan has played in 23 tournaments and made the cut in 17 of them. She recorded six finishes in the top 10 but is still searching for a win on the circuit.

Lydia Ko attended the 2025 Rolex LPGA Award on Tuesday in a stunning all black outfit. She wore a bodyfit dress paired with white sandals and carried a black purse. She styled her hair in a neat bun and shared two pictures on Instagram with a caption:

She won the HSBC Women’s World Championship, while some of her other significant finishes are solo sixth at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, T5 at the CPKC Women’s Open, and T9 at the Maybank Championship.
