Former UFC star Darren Till didn’t take too kindly to Paulo Costa pulling out of his next fight. The Brazilian was to face Brunno Ferreira at UFC 326 but the fight has been shelved just days after it was announced.
While the UFC might look to find a new fighter for Ferreira, Till was quick to slam the Brazilian for the latest move.
Till posted a lengthy take on X claiming that Costa didn’t respect the sport and wanted him to retire:
“This guy is just a big jumped up joke of a juice ed. Has no respect for the sport. Just quit Costa and keep doing ur secret juice gig cos it’s the only thing that works for u. Ur an absolute mon*******. Ur a bum. Ur a whore. Quit please quit my brother. You are so so f****** s***.”Get the latest updates on One Championship Rankings at Sportskeeda and more
Till also believed Costa was the worst fighter ever and compared their title fights as well:
“I think you may be the worst fighter to ever fight in the ufc ever. And ur title challenge was worse than mine and that’s saying something.”Till had challenged Tyron Woodley for the welterweight title and lost via submission. Costa, for his part, fought Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title at UFC 253 and lost via TKO.
Costa does have a history of fights not taking place after being scheduled. The Brazilian has seen fights against Khamzat Chimaev, Ikram Aliskerov and Jared Cannonier get canceled for various reasons.
Brunno Ferreira slams Paulo Costa for fight cancelation
Brunno Ferreira, unsurprisingly, wasn’t happy with Paulo Costa after the pullout. Ferreira ripped into the Brazilian and wanted to fight Roman Dolidze on the same card:
"Unfortunately, the weak rubber left the fight. But that's nothing new, he's a soft a**. With all due respect, @romandolidze I have nothing against you, but let’s give a beating show to the fans at UFC 326 because I know you’re not a soft a** like 'Borrachinha.'"Costa’s last fight was at UFC 318 where he defeated Roman Kopylov via unanimous decision. That stopped a two-fight losing streak for the Brazilian.
