The New York Yankees can't afford Aaron Judge's injury to keep him out for an extended period of time.
Dealing with a rib issue, Judge wasn't in Tuesday's lineup and is supposed to see a specialist on Wednesday.
The diagnosis from the specialist, and how Judge is feeling, will likely determine what happens next.
But if the answer is an extended absence for Judge, with a trip to the IL, things could get messy for the Yankees. They don't have great options in his place.

Potential injury replacements for Aaron Judge
The easiest thing for the Yankees to do would be to get Jasson Dominguez into the outfield -- likely into left field with Cody Bellinger shifting to right.
One problem: Dominguez is still returning from a left shoulder AC joint sprain, and he hasn't yet started his rehab assignment.
Jose Caballero has played some outfield, although much more infield. If he moved to the grass, Anthony Volpe would play every day at shortstop.
Amed Rosario spent some time in Cleveland learning to play centerfield, but he never got particularly good at it and didn't stick out there.
Max Schuemann, not a threat at the plate, is a utility guy who can play out there, too.
The other ideal outcome for the Yankees would be slugging prospect Spencer Jones -- he struggled mightily in his first taste of MLB, but his power upside might still make him the best solution here if he can find at least a bit of a rhythm at the plate in the major leagues.
