Yankees loyalist gives major reason why Cody Bellinger will re-sign with Bronx Bombers

Cody Bellinger urges to re-sign with the Yankees for the upcoming season. On Thursday, FiresideYankee shared an insight about Bellinger playing again at Yankee Stadium.

MLB analyst Ryan Garcia informed on youtube podcast:

"The New York Yankees have made a formal offer to Cody Bellinger, according to John Heyman of the New York Post. And at this point, I genuinely believe this deal is going to happen. I don’t think the Yankees are going to miss on Bellinger."

Garcia also mentioned the simple reason, as the Yankees are one aggressive team, and other teams are also widely interested in Bellinger. He suggests the New York Mets may outbid the Yankees, but the Mets are very disciplined in spending in free agency.

MLB Analyst pointed to the LA Dodgers being more interested in short-term opportunistic deals. Despite this, Cody Bellinger favors a more structured and straightforward five-year deal, as conveyed to his agent Scott Boras.

"The Yankees don’t typically make official offers unless they believe there’s a real chance the player will accept. Once you reach this stage—where a player can actually say yes—things tend to move quickly,"

On Thursday, Jon Heyman reported exclusively in the New York Post about the formal offer to Bellinger. Yankees GM Brian Cashman always comes forward to admire Cody Bellinger.

During November, addressing SNY Media, he quoted,

"We'd love to have Bellinger back. I talked to [his agent] Scott Boras yesterday about Belli and other free agents of his."

Cody Bellinger expressed his admiration towards the Yankees group in October after the team lost against the Blue Jays in the ALDS:

"It was a fun group to be a part of," he continued, "We came up short, and that part stinks for sure because we had a really, really good group here."

He also shared his opinion about playing next season:

"An unbelievable time putting on this uniform."

Bellinger posted an elite performance in the 2025 season: .272/.334/.480 with 89 runs, 25 doubles, five triples, 29 homers, and 98 RBIs in 152 games.
