It seems like every game Aaron Judge does something that hasn't been done in a long time.
That was true again Friday night for the New York Yankees superstar. He put himself in the company of Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Barry Bonds with his latest accomplishment.
Judge reached base for the 100th time this season during the Yankees' series opener against the Mets. It came in New York's 44th game.
Here's how ESPN's Buster Olney summed up that accomplishment:
"Judge reached base for the 100th time this season on Friday night. He did so in the team’s 44th game of the season. That’s the fewest team games for a player to reach base 100 times in a season since 2002, when Barry Bonds also made it to 100 times on base in the Giants’ 44th game. The only other Yankees to reach base 100 times within the team’s first 44 games of a season were Mickey Mantle in 1956 (he won the triple crown that year), along with Babe Ruth in 1930 and 1923."

Judge is clearly one of the best hitters ever, and he seems to prove it every night.
His stats through Saturday are astounding. He's batting .402/.488/.753 with 15 homers and 41 RBI.
Judge has a career OPS of 1.021.
Just keep appreciating big No. 99 for as long as he's around.
Those legends of the game from long ago seemed like larger-than-life figures that might never be replicated. But here Judge is, replicating them. He's larger than life and he's right here for all to see.
