WWE SmackDown Results: Cody Rhodes destroyed; huge stipulation change for WWE Championship match (10/31/2025)

Tiffany Stratton kicked off WWE SmackDown and called out Jade Cargill, who attacked her last week. Nick Aldis came out to tell her to calm down and said that she was not cleared to compete.

Stratton still called Cargill a coward and asked her to step out, which she did. Jade said that she wanted to take the title off of Stratton tomorrow at Saturday Night's Main Event. Stratton rushed out of the ring to attack her, but officials stepped in and kept the brawl from taking place before SmackDown moved on.

Backstage on SmackDown, R-Truth was dressed as Santa, handing out candy and insisting it was Christmas. Solo and the MFT picked a fight with Motor City Machine Guns shortly after.

Nathan Frazer came out to answer Ilja Dragunov's open challenge, but Tommaso Ciampa said that he didn't deserve it. The two argued, and Dragunov waved Ciampa off, ultimately giving the match to Frazer.

WWE SmackDown Results: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Nathan Frazer - United States Championship match

Frazer got a big knee to kick things off and got an uppercut before the champ came in with some German Suplexes. Dragunov missed Constantine Special before Frazer got the Inverted DDT and the Shooting Star Press.

Dragunov kicked out of the Phoenix Splash before getting a German Superplex. The champ followed up with the powerbomb and hit the H-Bomb before getting the win.

Result: Ilja Dragunov def. Nathan Frazer

Ciampa came out after the match and took Frazer down before Axiom came out to make the save. Gargano joined the fight as well, and so did Dragunov as they took the brawl backstage.

Grade: B+

WWE SmackDown Results: Carmelo Hayes vs. Kit Wilson

Hayes got some big strikes in before Wilson went for a jab to the eyes behind the referee's back. Kit hit an elbow and went for a submission hold before Melo broke out and hit the DDT for a near fall.

Hayes got the Final Cut before The Miz came out and sent Melo into the ringpost. Wilson hit a big dive to the floor before getting a near-fall off a diving elbow in the ring. Hayes returned with the codebreaker and took the win.

Result: Carmelo Hayes def. Kit Wilson

Post-match, The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Carmelo before SmackDown moved on.

Sami Zayn wanted to be in the Motor City Machine Guns' corner tonight, but Nick Aldis told him that he wasn't medically cleared for ringside activity.

Cody Rhodes showed up and said that Zayn did well with the United States Championship, and Sami wished him luck for the upcoming title match. Aldis asked Cody if he had anything to do with the attack on Jacob Fatu, and Rhodes denied it.

WWE SmackDown Results: Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax

Jax had the early advantage and hit the avalanche bodyslam in the corner before Alexa came back with a sleeper hold. Jax got her with the headbutt before Alexa hit her with a big dropkick.

Jax blocked the DDT from Alexa before taking a low crossbody for a near fall. Nia hit a Samoan Drop for a near fall before an assist from Charlotte allowed Alexa to block the Annihilator and roll Jax up for the win.

Result: Alexa Bliss def. Nia Jax

Grade: B

Chelsea Green asked for a match against Giulia next week, and the latter accepted.

WWE SmackDown Results: The MFT vs. Motor City Machine Guns

The MFT were in control early on, and Mateo got a beatdown on Alex Shelley in the ring before tagging Tama in for some double team moves. The MCMG got some big moves after taking the fight to the ringside.

Talla Tonga and Solo Sikoa interfered before Tonga Loa took Sabin down with a cheap shot. Back in the ring, Tama Tonga hit the cutthroat before picking up the easy win.

Result: The MFT def. Motor City Machine Guns

The MFT attacked MCMG after the match, and Rey Fenix came out to make the save before being taken out as well. Shinsuke Nakamura came out to join the fight before Talla took him down with a chokeslam.

Grade: C

Backstage on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre told Nick Aldis that he had looked over the match contract and that everything was fine.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre were out next for the Undisputed WWE Championship match contract signing. Cody quietly made his signature, but Drew said that he couldn't sign it since the contract was 'lopsided.' If Drew were disqualified or counted out, Cody would keep the title, reiterating the champion's advantage.

Aldis said that he was tired and would replace Drew in the match tomorrow. Drew said okay and was walking out before Cody told him to sit back down. Cody asked what Drew wanted and said that he was willing to waive the champion's advantage, but Aldis noted that it was a bad idea.

Cody was fired up and said that he was ready to take on the match. Aldis finally gave in and agreed to the terms before Drew signed. He said that he does things the right way; being from a different country, he was the "real American Dream."

Cody said that they both built themselves back up after leaving WWE, but while Rhodes had the guts to leave, Drew got fired like a coward. Drew implied that Cody was a bad parent before the champ tried to hit him with the title belt.

Drew dodged the shot and took Cody down with a Claymore before powerbombing him through the table in the ring.

McIntyre said that he would do whatever it takes to become the champion tomorrow before WWE SmackDown went off the air.
