Welcome to Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News and Rumor Roundup for 30th December, 2025. In today's brand-new edition, we'll dive into a former champion's injury and uncertainty around her career, a major update on Chris Jericho's future, and The Usos' title win.

Let's get started:

#5. The Usos dethroned AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on WWE RAW

Over two months ago, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee ended The Judgment Day's reign as the World Tag Team Champions. The duo unexpectedly conquered the division, but top teams, including The Usos, stepped up to the challenge, reuniting on the red brand following WWE Survivor Series 2025.

On the latest and final edition of Monday Night RAW in 2025, The Usos defeated AJ Styles and Dragon Lee to become the new World Tag Team Champions. The last time Jimmy and Jey won the titles was in May 2022, when they defeated RK-Bro for the RAW Tag Team Championship and unified it with its counterpart.

#4. Austin Theory officially joins The Vision on WWE RAW

The Vision was left without a leader when Bron Breakker turned on Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, and Bronson Reed turned their back on The Visionary. In the coming months, Logan Paul got the approval from The Oracle, but the group still needed one more member.

After Survivor Series 2025, a masked man assisted the group, and it was eventually revealed to be Austin Theory. Last week, Theory teamed up with Reed and won a match against Rey Mysterio and CM Punk in a tag team match. In the latest edition, Paul Heyman confirmed that the two-time United States Champion has officially joined their faction.

#3. Major update on Chris Jericho's WWE future - Reports

Chris Jericho spent over six years of his career with All Elite Wrestling and helped the company become one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the United States. However, Y2J won't be in the Jacksonville-based promotion, as rumors suggest, heading into 2026.

According to Jon Alba of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, the insider stated that his sources have informed him that the 6-time WWE World Champion will appear on the weekly product soon. The report follows another insider's claim that Jericho will sign with the Stamford-based promotion and appear on Monday Night RAW on January 5, 2026.

#2. Stephanie Vaquer defended her title on WWE RAW

Stephanie Vaquer arguably had a breakout year, as she became a double champion, NXT Women's and NXT Women's North American Champion, and later won the Women's World Championship at Wrestlepalooza in September 2025. While she's ruling the women's division on Monday Night RAW, she has had only two successful title defenses on the brand.

In the latest edition, La Primera defended her title against Nikki Bella and The Judgment Day's Raquel Rodriguez in a Triple Threat match. In the end, the champion used in-ring awareness and covered Bella after taking Rodriguez out of the match.

#1. Piper Niven's WWE career might be over - Reports

A few years ago, Piper Niven got her original gimmick and in-ring name on the main roster under Triple H's creative regime. She later teamed with Chelsea Green and continued Green's reign as the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Lately, she was teaming up with Alba Fyre in The Green Regime before she suffered a serious neck injury.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the SmackDown star's injury is very serious, and it might put an end to her career as an in-ring performer. Moreover, it increasingly looks like the former champion won't step back into the ring.

Niven has helped William Regal raise awareness on X/Twitter around neck injuries, but the former Duodrop hasn't provided any update from her end as of now.
