The Philadelphia Eagles, led by Nick Sirianni, built an early cushion against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday and survived a late surge from Josh Allen to escape with a 13-12 win. Emotions boiled over after the game, as Sirianni was caught yelling back at opposing fans who had been heckling him throughout the game.

The moment raised some eyebrows, especially with Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who appeared visibly unimpressed. Brown was seen rolling his eyes as he and Sirianni made their way down the tunnel.

“There was a lot of talking by those Buffalo fans coming in. Not so much anymore,” Sirianni was heard yelling.

After the video began circulating online, fans and analysts alike slammed Sirianni, pointing to his repeated pattern of abrasive behavior toward opposing fans. Some even went as far as saying this type of behavior isn't fit for an NFL head coach.

“Nick Sirianni talking shit. His own players rolling their eyes at him. Then he doesn’t know which way to go to enter the locker room. And this is an NFL head coach?” NFL writer and insider Mike Freeman tweeted on Sunday.

After building a 13-0 advantage, the Eagles’ offense completely stalled later in the game, producing only 16 yards in the second half and leaning heavily on the defense to hold off Buffalo. Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts had a poor performance, throwing for 110 yards on 13 completions from 26 attempts and failing to complete a pass in the last two quarters.

Nick Sirianni not sorry for the Eagles winning ugly

Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills marked the second time this season that Jalen Hurts failed to complete a pass in the second half, yet the Eagles still emerged victorious.

Hurts said after the game that he has no issue with winning ugly, as long as Philadelphia gets the result. Coach Nick Sirianni echoed that mindset, making it clear he had no regrets about how the Week 17 game played out.

“Winning’s hard in this league, and I’m always going to enjoy a win," Sirianni said. "If you come out of this and you’re just thinking about all the negative things that happened, then it’s just a miserable existence.”

The win marked the Birds’ third straight, improving the team to 11-5 on the season. With the NFC East already secured, they’ve positioned themselves as legitimate contenders to defend their Super Bowl title.

Philadelphia will close out the regular season at home against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Jan. 4.
