A WWE icon competed against Rhea Ripley. She was able to finally end her losing streak against Mami.

Asuka is one of the top stars in the women's division. In recent weeks, she has unleashed a different side of herself after turning heel. The Kabuki Warriors even won the Women's Tag Team Championships. However, the competition for the tag titles has been increasing in recent weeks, with several teams vying for a title shot.

Tonight on WWE RAW, Asuka competed in a singles match against Ripley. Despite her pedigree, the Empress of Tomorrow was the underdog headed into this match due to her previous track record against The Eradicator. In seven previous televised singles matches, Ripley has won every time. However, tonight, Kairi Sane proved to be the difference maker. She interfered in the match constantly. IYO SKY came out to help her partner, but was too hurt to do anything. This allowed Asuka to pick up the win.

IYO SKY needed medical attention after last week's assault, according to Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are set to challenge the Kabuki Warriors on the January 5th episode of RAW. Last week, when they were making their entrance to address their upcoming title match, Asuka hit Rhea with the mist. They attacked IYO and Mami.

When Kairi tried to hit her Insane Elbow on Mami, IYO jumped into the ring and took the move instead. Following this attack, medical personnel stepped in to check on the number one contenders. In a video posted on WWE's X account, Rhea informed fans that IYO SKY required medical attention.

"Kabuki Warriors, you want to blindside us? You want to blindside us, and now, my friend, IYO SKY, now she's stuck in medical, and I can't see. We are going to take your tag team championships, and there is nothing that you can do about it. Nothing."

It remains to be seen if Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will win the tag titles.
