WWE is hyping up the impending return of a five-time United States Champion ahead of Monday Night RAW. John Cena's status has been made official.

The Cenation Leader has been absent since Crown Jewel, but appeared via vignette at Saturday Night's Main Event to announce the Last Time Is Now Tournament to determine his final opponent.

Any wrestler, be it from WWE or any other promotion, can enter the tournament, which will begin on the upcoming episode of RAW. There's no better time and place to kick off The Last Time Is Now Tournament than John Cena's hometown of Boston.

Damian Priest will face Rusev, while Sheamus will go up against Shinsuke Nakamura in the first two opening round matches.

In addition, John Cena himself will be present to bid goodbye in what would be his final appearance in his hometown. The company confirmed the news during the commercial break on SmackDown last night.

"Monday, John Cena returns home for his final appearance in Boston, as the Last Time Is Now tournament kicks off to decide his final opponent."

John Cena has a message for the WWE Universe

Ahead of Monday Night RAW, John Cena took to his X (formerly Twitter) to send a message to his fans, saying he is looking forward to the Last Time Is Now Tournament.

The Never Seen 17 called it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for every wrestler involved in what promises to be a must-see tournament.

"Seeing all the excitement around Monday Night #WWERaw in Boston. Can’t wait to see the matchups and surprises 👀 for the Last Time is Now tournament. This is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone involved. See you Monday LIVE @tdgarden and on @netflix!," he wrote.

Last night on SmackDown, Nick Aldis confirmed the next two matchups in the Last Time Is Now Tournament.

Jey Uso and The Miz will face each other, while LA Knight will return to battle a mystery opponent next Friday.
