The Cincinnati Bengals suffered a tough, overtime loss on Sunday to the Chicago Bears, which had the team searching for a new strategy when it was all over. For a team that now sits at 3-6, Cincinnati may look to sell off some spare parts to rebuild for next season.
Recently, defensive end Trey Hendrickson's name has been mentioned as one of the premium players that Cincy could ship out. A former third-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in 2017, the former Florida Atlantic standout eventually signed with the Bengals in 2021. He's a four-time Pro Bowler who was named an NFL All-Pro and the Deacon Jones Award winner last season. He's a premier pass rusher who has racked up 81 career sacks.
He has apparently drawn interest from several teams, including contenders like the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers. However, Hendrickson will come with a hefty price tag.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Cincinnati expects a premium pick in exchange for its pass rusher.
"League sources say the Bengals are still asking for a first-round pick in any deal for Trey Hendrickson at this time," Rossini posted on social media. "The trade deadline arrives in just over 28 hours, and teams are continuing to call Cincinnati about a number of their players. For now, prices remain high."
Is that a feasible scenario for a team looking to qualify for the postseason? It's not as rare in the modern era of the NFL to see a team in that position trade their first-round picks (which are typically somewhere in the 20th-30th range overall), According to one NFL insider, the team may have the perfect suitor down in Dallas.
"The Dallas Cowboys have been in just about every trade article known to man, and this one is no exception," stated Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. "While they might not pull off another blockbuster like when they dealt Micah Parsons at the end of August, they are in the market for a pass rusher, sources say."
