The 2026 World Baseball Classic will begin on March 5, the final game of the first round wrapping up on March 11.
The quarterfinals will begin just two days later with the semifinals following immediately after. The championship game will play on March 17.

Four groups of five teams will compete at the 2026 WBC. The top-two nations from each pool will advance out of the group stage and into the knockout rounds. From there, winners of every game will advance while the losers are eliminated.

The WBC 2026 rosters will not be finalized until 2026 begins, but a handful of stars are confirmed to take the field.
Leading the news is none other than Aaron Judge, Yankees outfielder who will captain Team USA. Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes will join, Mike Trout, 2023 captain, has expressed interest in joining the squad but is not yet confirmed to play.
Fellow New Yorker Francisco Lindor will return to the WBC in 2026, once again serving as captain for Team Puerto Rico. The Royals' Seth Lugo will join the PR squad.
The Blue Jays' Bo Bichette has confirmed he will take the field for Team Brazil, Brewers' Jose Quintana will represent Team Colombia and Twins' Harrison Bader will play for Team Israel.
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani (Japan) and Padres' Fernando Tatis Jr. (Dominican Republic) are expected to join their respective rosters for the 2026 tournament but have not yet confirmed their participation.

Where is the 2026 World Baseball Classic?
The 2026 WBC will take place at four stadiums, three in North America and one in Japan.
While the first round will play at all venues, the quarterfinals will take place in Houston and Miami, and the semifinals and championship will go down at LoanDepot Park in Florida.
