Unlike other major North American sports, MLB players get to spend the holiday season away from the busy schedule of their regular seasons. Two of baseball's modern day stars, Francisco Lindor and Ronald Acuna Jr. shared heartwarming moements with their families.
Ronald Acuna Jr.'s wife, Maria Laborde, shared a picture on Christmas Eve on Wednesday of the couple posing in their matching outfits. Maria looked stylish in a black waist-cut-out slit dress while the Atlanta Braves outfielder wore a black tee over faded-grey jeans and accessorised it with a black sidebag with white prints.

Off-field troubles have impacted Ronald Acuna Jr. and Francisco Lindor's 2025
As the holiday season brings the calendar year to an end, both Ronald Acuna Jr. and Francisco Lindor would hope for some stability in their clubhouses. They have been cornerstones for the Braves and the Mets, respectively, but have faced problems this year.
Rumors surrounding Acuna's probable trade rose in 2025 when he hit a slump and was demoted down the Braves batting order. In early September, he was demoted to the #6 and #7 holes after finishing 13-for-57 the previous month. However, Atlanta management quickly squashed any trade talk.
Meanwhile, multiple reports in the offseason have claimed there was discord in the Mets dressing room, with Lindor at the heart of it. He had strained relations with Jeff McNeil, had differences with Brandon Nimmo and didn't gel well with newcomer Juan Soto. The former two got traded while Soto and Lindor are expected to maintain their professional partnership as they try to steer the Mets to success.
