Part of the appeal of the modern Super Bowl halftime show is the guessing game of who the headliner will bring out.

For Super Bowl 60, Bad Bunny found a collection of big names — including one of the biggest American artists of the past few decades.

Lady Gaga joined Bad Bunny in Santa Clara for a portion of his show, doing a salsa performance of "Die With A Smile."

Here's a look at Lady Gaga's featured appearance in the Super Bowl 60 halftime show.

Why was Lady Gaga in Super Bowl 60 halftime show?

Bad Bunny had already featured names like Cardi B and Pedro Pascal in his performance for brief cameos by the time a new face showed up: Lady Gaga. And she made much more than an appearance.

Singing a salsa version of "Die With A Smile" in English, Lady Gaga was the center of the performance for a few moments.

She had been a rumored candidate to make a guest appearance in the days before the Super Bowl, with some betting market platforms allowing bets for whether or not she would appear alongside Bad Bunny.

Gaga also headlined Rocket and Redfin's recent Super Bowl LX commercial with her own version of Fred Rogers' "Won't You Be My Neighbor," making fans wonder whether she'd be a part of the halftime show.

She had also offered plenty of recent support for Bad Bunny, who she previously introduced for a "Saturday Night Live" performances during a 2023 episode.

At the Grammys earlier in February, Lady Gaga was seen in tears to Bad Bunny's win for Album of the Year. She was also seen chatting with him at the award show.

"I have endless admiration for Benito," she told People of Bad Bunny, days before the halftime show. "He's a brilliant musician and an incredibly kind human being."

She had previously shot down the rumors of her guest appearance, but as it turned out, she was very involved for Bad Bunny's show.

"Honestly, I don't think he needs any from me," Gaga told People of Bad Bunny. "He knows who he is, and that's the only thing that matters when you step onto that stage. All he has to do is be the beautiful person he already is, and the world will feel his heart."
