The Seattle Seahawks secured their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history after defeating the New England Patriots in convincing fashion on Sunday.
Seahawks fans should get used to their team being in this position quite often in the years to come.
That's because the Seahawks are well-positioned for sustained success under head coach Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider, both of whom have proven to be among the very best at their respective jobs.
For starters, the Seahawks have a lot of youth on their roster. Entering the season, the Seahawks' roster was tied for the fourth-youngest average age in the NFL at 25.77 years.
Along with that youth, Seattle has the most complete team in the NFL, with an elite defense and an offense capable of running with the best of them. And, the team doesn't have a ton of key free agents, so much of this group will be back.
As if all that wasn't scary enough, the Seahawks are projected to have the fifth-most cap space in the NFL with a whopping $73.2 million to work with in 2026.
So, not only will the Seahawks have no issue bringing back their own players, they can actually go out and add significant upgrades via free agency, too.
The only negative about Seattle's outlook is their lack of draft capital in 2026, as the Seahawks are projected to have just four picks. However, with the amount of youth the Seahawks have on their roster, that isn't a huge problem.
When you put it all together, there's no reason why the Seahawks can't be perennial Super Bowl contenders for many years to come, and if that turns out to be the case, a dynasty isn't out of the question.
