Why the Giants still view Dexter Lawrence as ‘super important’ piece after forgetful 2025

Not long after word came down that the Giants hired John Harbaugh as their head coach, Leonard Williams picked up his phone and shot a text to one of his best buddies, Dexter Lawrence.

“I was like, ‘Hey, I love this move for you guys,’ ’’ Williams said.

There was a time when Williams was one of those guys, playing alongside Lawrence on the Giants defensive line, laboring through far more failure than success.

Williams, thankfully for him, was traded to Seattle, and last month he won a Super Bowl with the Seahawks.
