“Why’s he talk like Donald Trump”: NFL fans react as Aaron Rodgers boasts about dominating Chicago Bears over the years ahead of Week 12 game

Aaron Rodgers has thoroughly dominated the Chicago Bears throughout his 20-year NFL career, going 24-5 against them. And he relishes another opportunity to defeat them this Sunday.

On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback said:

"There's incentive for every opponent, but I have enjoyed many a Sunday and Monday and Thursdays in that city."

However, he also said he no longer wished to be seen as the villain to Bears fans:

“I’d rather not be, I mean, I’m not in Green Bay anymore. I feel like we can let bygones be bygones. Maybe I can.”

Not everyone was happy with his comments, however:

"Just retire bud 😂 it’s over," one "begged". "He will get retired if he comes back," another warned. "Hope Bears defensive players get to see this clip," another wished.

Bears QB Caleb Williams hoping to play against Aaron Rodgers

Right now, Aaron Rodgers is nursing a wrist injury that he sustained during a blowout win against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was seen wearing a brace on Thursday as he practiced after being absent on Wednesday.

Should he be ruled out for Sunday, at least one person will be unhappy - Caleb Williams. The Bears' second-year quarterback spoke up on his admiration of the mutiple-time MVP:

“Growing up as a kid when you find and realize how hard it is to play this position, you admire some of the things he’s been able to do over the long career he has had. The way he’s been able to spin the ball and put the ball in different places, whether on the run or in the pocket, that’s something I probably would say.”

He continued:

“He’s one of the best in the world, and he’s been one of the best in the world for however long he’s been in the league. ... I’ll hopefully get to say what’s up to him, shake his hand after.”

Meanwhile, head coach Ben Johnson said about Rodgers:

“He’s doing a really good job right now of spitting it ou. He’s accurate. ...The guy’s done it at a high level for a long time. It’s a good guy to look up to for a young quarterback.”

Kickoff for the Bears-Steelers game is at 1 pm ET/12 pm CT on CBS.
