The Los Angeles have taken a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, and it's Alabama's Ty Simpson.
Simpson has just one full year of starting experience under his belt, and that was in 2025 with Alaba.
However, the Rams view Simpson as a high potential prospect, and their quarterback of the future.
Though Matthew Stafford is coming off an MVP season, the Super Bowl champion is nearing the end of his career and may retire in the next few years.
As a result, Los Angeles is taking a gamble on Simpson, who will sit and develop behind Stafford until he can succeed the former No. 1 overall pick in 2019.
